Kitchen Facilities
Eating in: All you will need to do is to bring in your main groceries and make sure you allow the time needed to prepare your favorite meal while you kick back and enjoy a glass of wine.
All the condiments that you should need are in the kitchen, but if you need anything extra you can always walk over to the Market Place to pick up anything you need.
Depending on how long you are Whistler on your holiday, there are all the appliances that you will ever need; a washer, dryer, fridge, freezer, steam oven, convection oven, stove, indoor grill, cappuccino machine, coffee maker, toaster, blender, pots, pans, chocolate fondue plus much more and of course a dishwasher.
Over the built in electric BBQ range, you will find a hidden (wooden faced) outside air vent to use while you are cooking
The Steam Oven is great to use. If you have not used a steam oven you will discover it is easy to prepare meals with ease.
It is really rather simple – open the door – on the right hand side of the unit you will find a plastic container.
Put about 1 L of water and replace it. To use the oven follow 4 steps:
- Select a program (turn the knob on the top right).
- Adjust the temperature if necessary (but it automatically sets based on the program you select)
- Set the cooking time (check the cook book in the drawer for examples of time – depending upon the food you are going to heat up or cook – everything is calibrated in minutes.)
- Press Start ~ it is that simple.
Containers:
Stainless steel cooking containers are in the drawer below the oven – please use the perforated cooking containers that are provided and always place a drip tray below when using the perforated containers.
If you are using multiple containers in the oven, ensure that there is at least 1 inch gap between the upper rime of the container and the top of the cooking compartment to allow sufficient steam into the container.
Selecting a program:
Turn the program selector to the desired program, e.g. COOK – Veg. The preset temperature will appear in the screen.
Set the cooking time and as mentioned; just press the Start Button.
Program Guide:

Setting the Cooking Time:
Set the time by pressing the + or – button to the desired length of time, e.g. 0:20 for 20 minutes.
The range of time you can set is between 1 minute (0:01) and 4 hours and 59 minutes (4:59).
Then simply press Start. That is it. There is a cook book in the kitchen which will give you cooking times for various foods.
End of Cooking:
- Turn the program selector to “0”.
- Wait until all remaining water is pumped from the steam generator back into the water container before opening the door.
- Remove and empty the water container and dry thoroughly.
- Wipe the cooking compartment, vent, and drip try with a soft cloth.
- Leave the door open as long as the cooking compartment is still damp
